$integerOne = 1; $five = 5; $sum = $integerOne + $five; $integerTwo = 2; $int2--;

Challenge Task 2 of 3 is to add 5 to $integerOne. Why do i get an error: " You haven't changed $integerOne"?

Hi there, you're almost there!! however the code challenges is asking us to change the value of $integerOne, not to assign it to a new variable like what you have done in the above with $sum. Also you don't need to create a variable to store the value 5 you can just subtract it directly, like so:

$integerOne = 1;
$integerOne = $integerOne + 5; #change the value of $integerOne
$integerTwo = 2;
$integerTwo--;
?>
