Installing WordPress without Affecting Current Site

Hi everyone,

I'm about to do an install of WordPress on a client's live server and they have requested that the existing site not be touched until the WordPress site has all of it's content entered into the site and I have no idea on how I can do this as I usually just do a WordPress install and enter the content in.

Has Zac Gordon done any lessons on how to do this?

Any advice on how I can go about this will be greatly appreciated!

Thanking you in advance,

Stu : )

Maybe try creating a sub folder, access it using http:url/subfolder and then move it to the main folder when finished?

Ahh yes of course. Thanks for that Jesus Mendoza :)

When you do that and move the wordpress folder to the main folder you have to config your data base and url in the wordpress installation config file though
