Inside the jQuery each() method, use prepend() to add an '<input type="checkbox"/>' to the beginning of each list item.

$('.favorite-things li').each(function() { const $url=$('<input type="checkbox"/>'); $('.favorite-things').prepend((${$url})); });

index.html
<!DOCTYPE html>
<html lang="en">
<head>
    <title>Document</title>
    <link rel="stylesheet" href="style.css">
</head>
<body>
    <h2>My Favorite Things</h2>

    <ul class="favorite-things">
        <li>Kittens</li>
        <li>Rainbows</li>
        <li>Unicorns</li>
        <li>Sprinkles</li>
    </ul>

    <script
    src="jquery-3.2.1.min.js"></script>
    <script src="app.js"></script>
</body>
</html>
app.js
$('.favorite-things li').each(function() {
  const $url=$('<input type="checkbox"/>');
  $('.favorite-things').prepend(`(${$url})`);
});

Hi ambareesh

Inside the each() method you need to use $(this) and inside the prepend method '<input type="checkbox"/>'

Happy coding

You need to prepend the checkbox to the list item. Currently, your code is prepending it to the ul with the class of .favorite-things.

Since you're already iterating through the list items with the .each() method, you can take advantage of this to prepend to each of the list items:

$('.favorite-things li').each(function() {
  const $checkbox = $('<input type="checkbox"/>');
  $(this).prepend($checkbox);
});

I am so STUPID ('.favorite-things li').each(function() { // Write code here const $checkbox = $('<input type="checkbox"/>'); $(this).prepend(checkbox); });
