HTML How to Make a Website Adding Pages to a Website Add a New Page

index.html File Name Issue

Hello,

I came across a very simple mistake that I made somehow. It wasn't covered in the video, but maybe it should be. All I did was accidentally rename it "Index.html" with a capital "I" instead of the usual "index.html" with a lowercase "i". This broke my index page, and when I tried to navigate to it from the About page I got a "404 Not Found" error. I spent much longer than I'm willing to admit trying to figure what the problem was.

Thank you for your time

Hello,

Change it back and it should be ok, but if it is not, copy and paste it into a new index.html. I somehow deleted my index.html twice now but it's all good.

As to the 404 error, if you have not got far as adding more pages in the web track there isn't going to be any content inside the about page to show?

Everything was fine when I changed it to all lowercase. I just thought I would let everyone know what problem I ran into, and how I solved it.

Thanks for your feedback!
