You've got this line back to front:
Button showFactButton = (showFactbutton) findviewById(R.id.Button);
To the right of the equals sign you want to type cast this to a Button
type. So, put Button
inside the first brackets. Then inside the second brackets comes the ID of the button which is R.id.showFactButton
. Also, Capitalise View
inside findViewById
.
You end up with:
Button showFactButton = (Button) findViewById(R.id.showFactButton);
