55,236 PointsHey Matt,
You just have your .format on the wrong line. It should look like this:
name = 'Matt Lewis'
subject = 'Treehouse loves {}'.format(name)
print(subject)
When you try to add .format to the print line, it doesn't know what string you're trying to interpolate, since that interpolation (the {}
characters) is located in the subject variable. You include .format there, and specify the variable containing the string you want to interpolate.
Hope that clarifies things! Cena
