I'm just wondering what other solutions people came up with. Is there a way to simplify the "isHighScore" prop?

Do you think there is a way to save the expression in the isHighScore prop into a separate variable? And where would it go? Has anyone tried?

{players.map(player =>
  <Player
    score={player.score}
    name={player.name}
    id={player.id}
    key={player.id.toString()}
    removePlayer={handleRemovePlayer}
    changeScore={handleScoreChange} //this function will run in the Counter component
    isHighScore={player.score === highScore && highScore !==0}
  />
)}

If you really want to, you can wrap the anonymous function in curly braces and set your variable before the Player component. I think it's overkill since you're not using this expression elsewhere.

{players.map(player => {
  const isHighScore = player.score === highScore && highScore !==0;
  <Player
    score={player.score}
    name={player.name}
    id={player.id}
    key={player.id.toString()}
    removePlayer={handleRemovePlayer}
    changeScore={handleScoreChange}
    isHighScore={isHighScore}
  />
})}
