I need a simple way of remembering what a Routing Table is and what it does please?

I've watched the video twice and my 3 year old woke up from his nap and started singing and making weird nosies so this could be the reason why I'm struggling but I got the routing table question wrong twice and I rewatched the video both times. Please help. Many thanks.

A routing table is a diagram (or table) that helps determine where the packets are traveling to. Kinda like a road map on how to get information (packets) between computers.

You can find a more in depth explanation here: http://searchnetworking.techtarget.com/definition/routing-table

Your welcome. :)
