PHP CRUD Operations with PHP Reading and Writing Reports Filtering Data

I just get this error over and over: PHP Notice: Undefined index: first_name in bf6be474-1aba-4cff-b220-654d69425e76.php

I just get an undefined index error in my code. Not sure why.

<?php function get_people() { include 'connection.php';

$results = $db->query('SELECT last_name FROM people ORDER BY last_name DESC');
return $results->fetchAll(PDO::FETCH_ASSOC);

}
