I just don't understand this

I am just not comprehending this :( Seems like he goes over so much so fast

Firstly, you need to pay close attention to the camel-casing with method names.

Secondly, you're passing the variable id as a parameter to the .toUpperCase() method, although it does not take one. The correct syntax is like this:

var userName = id.toUpperCase();

Hey Scott, there is no touppercase() method as such, the one you need is string.toUpperCase();
