Courses Plus Student 41,372 PointsI have tried using the , { posts: 'posts'} but that failed! Anyone?
This the second Task: Task 2 out of 2.
const express = require('express');
const posts = require('./mock/posts.json');
const app = express();
app.set('view engine', 'pug');
app.set('views', __dirname + '/templates')
app.get('/', (req, res) => {
res.render('main');
});
app.listen(3000, () => {
console.log("The frontend server is running on port 3000!");
});

Treehouse Project ReviewerHey Fabian,
Good Job getting past the first part of the challenge. You are very close for the 2nd part. Keep in mind
{ posts: 'posts'}
will say pass in the string posts as the value for the posts property. What we want is to pass in the posts object to the template and name it posts. Good thing is we already have the posts object as the variable posts
on line 2.
So we can do this with the following code
app.get('/', (req, res) => {
res.render('main', { posts: posts });
});
OR since or property and value are the same name we can use the ES6 shorthand way
app.get('/', (req, res) => {
res.render('main', {posts});
});
