I have no idea what the real question is, hidden in this puzzle...

"There are three list items in the index.html file. We want to be able to enter a 0, 1 or 2 in the text field to embolden the list item with the corresponding index. Can you figure out what condition to put into the if statement to make this code work?"

What does "embolden the list item with the corresponding index" actually mean. English is not my native language, and this sounds more like a riddel than a question to me...

app.js
const laws = document.getElementsByTagName('li');
const indexText = document.getElementById('boldIndex');
const button = document.getElementById('embolden');

button.addEventListener('click', (e) => {
    const index = parseInt(indexText.value, 10);

    for (let i = 0; i < laws.length; i += 1) {
       let law = laws[i];

       // replace 'false' with a correct test condition on the line below
       if (indexText.value >= 1) {

           law.style.fontWeight = 'bold';
       } else {
           law.style.fontWeight = 'normal';
       }
    }
});
index.html

  </ul>
  <input type="text" id="boldIndex">

The word "embolden" means "make it be bold", and the code to do that is already provided. Your task is just to set the conditional expression so it happens to the right item.

And the "item with the corresponding index" is the one that has the same index number as the number that the user put into the input box. To help you do this, the index box value has already been converted into a number and stored in the variable "index" a few lines above.
