I have created the AVD but the phone won't appear on running the application. Please help me. I followed the guidelines given in the teacher's notes still I'm struggling with the emulator.

11,768 PointsOpen the Android Virtual Device manager or Genymotion (depending on what you are using) and start the emulator yourself so that it is running wait for it to boot and get to the home screen of the android device. Once there, try to run the application again and see if the running AVD is available in the list. If you're using a Genymotion emulator, it usually has to be running for intelliJ or Android Studio to recognize it.
