I don't think I understand what is requested of me here..

I don't think I've declared the iterable good enough, or at all.

Please assist me with understanding the test a bit better. :)

# random_item("Treehouse")
# The randomly selected number is 4.
# The return value would be "h"

def random_item(*args):
    number = random.randint(0,(len(args)-1))
    print(index, number)

why the * in your argument? just leave that one out just reading says you need to return (not print) the letter at the random index you found in other words :

return args[number] len already does take the length minues 1 so don't substract 1 from len(args)

Found the * thingy when Googling around, seemed at that time as the right thing, but I was wrong. :)

I've removed it now and replaced the print with return and some more, that more or less seemed to fix things.
