well as i learned from the video we can compare a string ... but i didn't understand how to compare it with another string //Add an if statement that checks to see if firstExample is equal to secondExample. If it is, print out "first is equal to second".

You don't need the line System.exit(0); which is causing the challenge to exit unexpectedly. Delete that line and your code is fine.

57,712 PointsYep - the exit command was issued in the video to halt execution if the user's age is under 13. That was a specific halt requirement that doesn't exist in the challenge. Indeed, in the challenge, the code should continue to execute so that the lines of code in the next task have chance to run.
