I don't get it.

I don't understand my mistake. Give me the answer and then please explain what I did. Thanks, Aditya

Hi Aditya, The correct is this:

// Declare our View variables and assign them the Views from the layout file
TextView factLabel = (TextView) findViewById(R.id.factTextView);
Button showFactButton = (Button) findViewById(R.id.NewFactButton);

Explanation: showFactButton is a Button. If you want, you can declare it like this:

Button showFactButton;

After, to assign is ID you need to use findViewByID(), but this method take a view as parameter and you have a button. To solve this, you need to cast the view as a button like this:

showFactButton = (Button) findViewById(R.id.NewFactButton);
