5,333 PointsI don't get how to pass the S subclass's pattern attribute into a method in its parent class Letter
Can anyone help me out with this?
class Letter:
def __init__(self, pattern=None):
self.pattern = pattern
def __str__(self, pattern):
s=""
for item in pattern:
if item == '.':
s+="dot-"
elif item == '_':
s+="dash-"
else:
pass
return s[0:len(s)-1]
class S(Letter):
def __init__(self):
pattern = ['.', '.', '.']
super().__init__(pattern)

method does not need accept a "pattern" argument. Instead, the method should reference the instance attribute self.pattern
- remove the unnecessary
pattern
parameter - reference
self.pattern
instead ofpattern
in thefor
loop
