I can't seem to make sense of this question, any help will be appreciated

I'm not sure what code will work as I've tried several...

GameListActivity.java
import android.os.Bundle;
import android.view.View;
import android.widget.ArrayAdapter;
import android.view.ListView;

public class GameListActivity extends ListActivity {

    public String[] mGames = {
        "Age of Empires",
        "Civilization",
        "Minecraft",
        "SimCity"
    };

    @Override
    public void onCreate(Bundle savedInstanceState) {
        super.onCreate(savedInstanceState);
        setContentView(R.layout.activity_game_list);

        ArrayAdapter<String> adapter = new ArrayAdapter<String>(this, android.R.layout.simple_list_item_1, mGames);
        setListAdapter(adapter);
    }

    @Override
    protected void onListItemClick(ListView l, View v, int position, long id) {
        super.onListItemClick(l, v, position, id);
      game.writeString(mGames);
    }

    // This is a helper method to tally votes on a back-end system
    public void sendVote(String game) {
        VoteService.recordVote(game);
    }
}

Here's The Assignment - "Now we can do something with the item that was tapped on. We have a helper method, "sendVote()", that will log the user's vote for their favorite game. Call it with the correct game from the list."

Hey Derrick! The 'game' variable doesn't exist inside onListItemClick. If you remove that line it should pass the first task.

The second assignment:

"Now we can do something with the item that was tapped on. We have a helper method, "sendVote()", that will log the user's vote for their favorite game. Call it with the correct game from the list."

Thanks Ben, I did get past the first task, it's the second task I'm having trouble with.

After the call to super, we're supposed to call 'sendVote' and pass in the game title of the list item we clicked. We can get the game title by using the mGames array and the position parameter.

Still can't figure it out, I'll keep it. Thanks for the input Ben.

Instead of:

game.writeString(mGames);

we need to call sendVote:

sendVote(...)

and pass in the game title:

mGames[...]

of the list item we clicked:

mGames[position]

So:

sendVote(mGames[position]);
