I can't figure this out. Can someone help?

I'm putting this in and I keep getting an error.

app.js 
var id = "23188xtr";
var lastName = "Smith";
console.log(id.toUpperCase());
var userName = id + "#" + lastName;

It works for me on JS fiddle, so I have two questions.

Are you using Workspaces? if so have you tried restarting it?

and what sort of error is it throwing?

Hi Ashley, First off, you don't need console.log.

The first challenge asks to assign an Upper Case version of id to the variable userName.

var userName - id.toUpperCase();

Second part of the challenge wants to put the string together with a # in-between. So, you're basically updating and adding to the previously created userName. userName now contains the value from the id variable so you just have to concatenate the # and the value from lastName variable.

var id = "23188xtr";
var lastName = "Smith";

var userName = id.toUpperCase();
userName = userName + "#" + lastName.toUpperCase();
