HTML Introduction to HTML and CSS (2016) Getting Familiar with HTML and CSS Test: Changing the Look of a Web Page

I can not get the color of the h1 tag to change to purple despite creating a class containing a color within the CSS

Did I do something wrong in the structure of the class?

index.html
<!doctype html>
<html>
  <head>
    <link href="styles.css" rel="stylesheet">
  </head>
  <body>

    <h1 class="header">Welcome to My Web Page!</h1>

  </body>
</html>
styles.css
}
.header {
  Color: purple;
}

Try removing the lonely curly bracket you have on top of the selector .header in your styles.css and the property doesn't have to begin with a capital letter.

With what you currently have, you can do this:

.header {
  color: purple;
}

Although, I personally would remove the header class from your HTML then do this:

h1 {
  color: purple;
}

Try giving the following code snippet h1{ color: purple; }

Thanks everyone!
