JavaScript jQuery Basics Introducing jQuery Using text() and html()

I am trying on this for a long time

Use the appropriate jQuery method to select the h1 element by its class name and set its contents to "Student <span>Profile</span>".

$(.profile-header').html("Student <span>Profile<span>"); This is the code I wrote but its showing error.

index.html
<!DOCTYPE html>
<html lang="en">
<head>
    <title>Document</title>
</head>
<body>
    <h1 class="profile-header"></h1>
    <p class="profile-text"></p>

    <script
    src="jquery-3.2.1.min.js"></script>
    <script src="app.js"></script>
</body>
</html>
app.js
//jQuery(".profile-text")
$('.profile-text').text("I am a web developer");
$('.profile-header').html("Student <span>Profile</span>");
