I am on a PC and am unable to follow instructions for Mac. Can you recommend a different learning platform for PC's?

I am unable to follow instructions for Mac. Is there any remedy for this on Treehouse or do I need to look elsewhere for learning WordPress?

If you are using XAMPP. Open a browser and type in - localhost/phpmyadmin/ - that should take you to phpmyadmin.

I'm not sure I understand your question. The course this post is linked to has videos for Windows and separate videos for Mac. So, there are specific videos for local installation directed to each platform.

Hi Karina, what kind of problem do you experience that hinders you from following along using Windows? Let me know and I might be able to help!

Thank you! At this point, I am trying to install wordpress locally. I get through all of the instructions, modifying for PC, but in the local server, the file doesn't show up. The test site shows up but not the folder I created and put the wordpress files into.

The difference here is that MAC is using MAMP and PC is using XAMPP

You can now use MAMP on Window's if that helps you.
