If you want to float list than select list and than float: left;

If you want to float parent element of list than select that and float it left with float:left.

hey,

You've got all the right properties but you're currently targeting the #gallery element this is the UL. you need to target the list items within that UL. You can do that like this :

#gallery li {
your code goes here
}
