How to complete task 2 in ScrabblePlayer

I have problems with this line: boolean inTiles = tiles.indexOf(tile);

ScrabblePlayer.java
public class ScrabblePlayer {
  // A String representing all of the tiles that this player has
  private String tiles;

  public ScrabblePlayer() {
    tiles = "";
  }

  public String getTiles() {
    return tiles;
  }

  public void addTile(char tile) {
    // TODO: Add the tile to tiles
    tiles+=tile;

  }

  public boolean hasTile(char tile) {
    // TODO: Determine if user has the tile passed in
    boolean inTiles = tiles.indexOf(tile);
    return inTiles;
  }

}

indexOf returns an integer so storing the result in a boolean is causing the error. you need to use that integer in a comparison that will return a boolean, like 1 < 2. that returns true, 1 is less than 2. the index of the tile will be between two numbers if you have the tile, and outside those numbers if you don't. the lowest index a tile could be and still be in your hand is 0, and the highest index it could be is the length of the tiles string minus 1.
