How to combine the sundaes list into a new variable named display_menu, where separated by comma and space.

When I click check work, it keeps saying that task 1 is no longer passing. Also, it allows me to pass task 3 with the code: menu = "Our available flavors are: {}.".format(", ".join(sundaes)). However, I want to make sure that I understand how to combine sundaes into display_menu with a comma and space.

available = "banana split;hot fudge;cherry;malted;black and white"
sundaes = available.split(';')
display_menu = ", ".join(sundaes)
menu = menu.format(display_menu)

Looks like you skipped over task 2. It wanted you to create a menu variable with the string "Our available flavors are: {}.".

available = "banana split;hot fudge;cherry;malted;black and white"
sundaes = available.split(';')
menu = "Our available flavors are: {}."
display_menu = ", ".join(sundaes)
menu = menu.format(display_menu)

You can also do the last part on one line:

available = "banana split;hot fudge;cherry;malted;black and white"
sundaes = available.split(';')
menu = "Our available flavors are: {}.".format(", ".join(sundaes))
