The next step might be to remove the color variables entirely and just call the function directly in the html variable assigning like: html += '<div style="background-color:rgb(' + randomColor() + ',' + randomColor() + ',' + randomColor() + ');" ></div>'; See if you can get the whole thing down to 8 lines..
