How do you set a text input to contain text?

I am at a point where I do not remember the lessons teaching something. I am asked to set the text input to contain Hello World and don't know how.

you can use the value attr of the placeholder attr. The placeholder attr sets the text buts goes away once the user places focus on the input field while value doesnt. You might use placeholders for hints and values for default values. Hope this helps.

Yes thank you. I happened to find the answer in another post I was led to after posting my question but you are correct. Again thank you!
