JavaScript JavaScript Basics Working with Strings Combine and Manipulate Strings

How do you concatenate a colon in a sentence?

app.js
let firstName ="Bianca" ;
let lastName = "DuBose" ;
let role = 'developer';
const msg = "Bianca + DuBose':' + developer" ;

1 Answer

Hi Bianca!

One hint: use the VARIABLES to construct your message.

This passes all 3 tasks:

let firstName = 'Bianca';
let lastName = 'DuBose';
let role = 'developer';

let msg = firstName + " " + lastName + ": " + role.toUpperCase();

// This works, too... (be sure to include the backticks:
// let msg = `${firstName} ${lastName}: ${role.toUpperCase()}`;

I hope that helps.

Stay safe and happy coding!

Thank you so much that helped me alot.
