General Discussion

How do you apply to join Talent Path? I only see an option for employers?

I'm interested in Joining talent path and seeking for entry-level design apprenticeships. I've been learning design since I graduated from college and would like to move to the next level as an interaction designer or researcher.

I don't see anything about what it takes to be an apprentice, what's involved. I went to the link below but it takes me to a sign up page and indicates a fee. I'd like to see a FAQ please.

If you pick either of the cities on the recruiting page, it takes you to a page that has a FAQ button. And I haven't seen any mention of fees for that program.

You didn't mention the URL you were looking at, but I found an application form page. Note that you must be living in an active recruiting city to apply.

Check the active recruiting page for eligibility, which as of today is these four two locations and two one topic area:

  • Chicago, IL - JavaScript
  • Boston, MA - Design and JavaScript
  • San Francisco, CA - Design
  • Seattle, WA - JavaScript
  • Piscataway, NJ - JavaScript
  • Irving, Texas - JavaScript

And on yet another page the recruitment process is described as "Treehouse partners with Boys and Girls Clubs of America and AnitaB.org to recruit high-potential talent." So there might be other opportunities if you are involved with one of those organizations.

Febuary 2020 update: modified text above to conform to current offerings. But check the recruiting page to be sure.

Hello Steve,

Thank you so much for the information. I am interested in Design

If you're not in Boston or San Francisco, just keep checking the recruiting page in case an employer in your area joins the program wanting that subject.
