How do I raise this value error?

I don't know how to set the possible length of the product_idea to less than three then raise a value error.

suggestinator.py 
def suggest(product_idea):
    return product_idea + "inator"
if len(product_idea) =
    raise ValueError("Sorry, that product idea is too short")

You don't need to set the value, just test it. And you were getting close, but:

  • the test (and raise) must occur before the return
  • the test (and raise) must be indented to be inside the function
  • use an inequality comparison operator in the test :point_right: len(product_idea) < 3
  • the "if" line should have a colon at the end
