Java Java Objects Harnessing the Power of Objects Overload Methods

How do I make another method named drive if it keeps messing up the code to do so? How do you pass in a 1?

I've tried everything i can think of or find. I don't think I understand the instructions.

GoKart.java
class GoKart {
  public static final int MAX_BARS = 8;
  private String color;
  private int barCount;
  private int lapsDriven;

  public GoKart(String color) {
    this.color = color;
  }

  public String getColor() {
    return color;
  }
  public void charge() {
    barCount = MAX_BARS;
  }

  public boolean isBatteryEmpty() {
    return barCount == 0;
  }

  public boolean isFullyCharged() {
    return MAX_BARS == barCount;
  }
  public void drive() {
    drive(lapsDriven++);
    barCount--;
    int laps=0;
   }
  public void drive (int laps){
  lapsDriven+=laps;
    barCount-= laps;
  }
  public final drive=1;

}

When they tell you to pass in a 1 they simply mean that you should call the drive function and pass in 1 as the argument.

In Java it's perfectly acceptable for one method to call another method. So to solve this challenge the drive method literally just needs one line of code that looks like this:

public void drive() {
    drive(1);
 }

That will result in the other drive method being called with 1 as the argument.
