Full Stack JavaScript Techdegree Student 16,538 PointsHi Ricardo, you almost there but you are assigning the values to a new variable called message which does not exist in this example. What you will have to to is add it to the end of the userName variable using conctenation(+). First you want to add the # symbol with a string which means you have to put it between quote tags '#'. After that you only have to add the other variable lastName with the uppercase method to the end.
var id = "23188xtr";
var lastName = "Smith";
var userName = id.toUpperCase() + '#' + lastName.toUpperCase();
