1,546 PointsHow do I add a label element to the menu for shirt color?
This is what I have done:
<form action="index.html" method="post"> <h1>Shirt Order Form</h1> < label for="color">Shirt Color:</label> <select id="color" name="shirt_color">
<option value="red">red</option>
<option value="yellow">yellow</option>
<option value="blue">blue</option>
<option value="green">green</option>
<option value="purple">purple</option>
<option value="orange">orange</option>
</select>
</form>
<!DOCTYPE html>
<html>
<head>
<meta charset="utf-8">
<title>HTML Forms</title>
</head>
<body>
<form action="index.html" method="post">
<h1>Shirt Order Form</h1>
< label for="color">Shirt Color:</label>
<select id="color" name="shirt_color">
<option value="red">red</option>
<option value="yellow">yellow</option>
<option value="blue">blue</option>
<option value="green">green</option>
<option value="purple">purple</option>
<option value="orange">orange</option>
</select>
</form>
</body>
</html>

You want to make the "for" in the label match the "name" for the element you are trying to label.

1,546 PointsThanks Jasen. I've pasted your answer and it still doesn't work. Any other options?

31,097 PointsYou'd added 1 space at the start of label tag:
you wrote:
< label for="color">Shirt Color</label>
Instead of:
<label for="color">Shirt Color</label>

<select id="color" name="shirt_color">

<option value="green">green</option>
<option value="purple">purple</option>
<option value="orange">orange</option>
</select>
</label>
Try placing the closing label tag at the end of all of the options.

31,097 PointsNope, the for attribute of the <label> tag should be equal to the id attribute of the related element to bind them together
