1,378 PointsHow can I launch the AVD in emulator?
When I selected the Nexus 5 API 23, a pop up came telling me that it cannot do so. It says "Please ensure that Intel HAXM is properly installed and usable." What does this mean?
This is exactly what came up:
Cannot launch AVD in emulator. Output: emulator: ERROR: x86 emulation currently requires hardware acceleration! Please ensure Intel HAXM is properly installed and usable. CPU acceleration status: HAX kernel module is not installed!

64,262 PointsHi Adia,
In your Android SDK manager, there should be an option to download Intel x86 Emulator Accelerator (HAXM installer). If you download and then install that, your emulator should work correctly.
Hope that helps!

1,378 PointsWhen I did that, it says it is already installed. But the pop up still comes and says that it does not work.
