JavaScript JavaScript Basics Working with Strings Combine and Manipulate Strings

Hi. I am trying to convert the string stored in role to upper case letters. What I am I doing wrong?

app.js
let firstName = 'Greg';
let lastName = 'Khmara';
let role = 'developer';
let msg = firstName + ' ' + lastName + ':' + role.toUpperCase() + '.';

I'm having the same issue!!! did you manage to resolve it?

Try this:

let firstName = 'Greg';
let lastName = 'Khmara';
let role = 'developer';
let msg = `${firstName} ${lastName}: ${role.toUpperCase()}`;

way cleaner.

I'm having the same issue did any of you manage to figure it out?

I didn't manage to resolve it yet 🤷‍♂️

that's how I'm doing it: it's not working!

let msg = firstName + ' ' + lastName + ':' + role.toUpperCase() +'.':

The issue seems to have resolved itself. I tried the same answer a second time the next day and it worked. I'm not sure why.
