help with task 1. python basics

can you help me with this one? please many thanks

Hi Jonathan,

You're very close! You have the right idea with making 'a' a variable, but you have not told the print function to use the variable you created. It is still using the string literal 'a'.

Try changing it to:

print(5 + a)
