The code below has been modified to add a "relaunch" button. In the onClick() method for this button, finish this current Activity so that the previous Activity is resumed.
import android.os.Bundle;
import android.view.View;
import android.widget.Button;
public class LandingActivity extends AppCompatActivity {
public Button relaunchButton;
// Some previous code omitted for brevity
@Override
public void onCreate(Bundle savedInstanceState) {
super.onCreate(savedInstanceState);
setContentView(R.layout.activity_landing);
// Some previous code omitted for brevity
relaunchButton = (Button)findViewById(R.id.relaunchButton);
relaunchButton.setOnClickListener(new View.OnClickListener() {
@Override
public void onClick(View v) {
// Add your code here!
mRelaunchButton = (Button)findViewById(R.id.relaunchButton);
mRelaunchButton.setOnClickListener(new View.OnClickListener() {
@Override
public void onClick(View v) {
finish();
}
});
}
}

9,483 PointsHi Shorai You're almost there. I actually do not know why you're repeating some of the code here:
relaunchButton = (Button)findViewById(R.id.relaunchButton);
relaunchButton.setOnClickListener(new View.OnClickListener() {
@Override
public void onClick(View v) {
// Add your code here!
mRelaunchButton = (Button)findViewById(R.id.relaunchButton); // Duplicated line
mRelaunchButton.setOnClickListener(new View.OnClickListener() { //Duplicated line
@Override // Duplicated line
public void onClick(View v) { // Duplicated line
finish();
}
});
Under "// Add your code here", you just need to add what action you want to be performed when the user clicks on the Relaunch button. The instructions say you want to finish the activity. If you remove the duplicated lines, you'll be good to go.
Hope that helps :)
