I am not sure why my answer will not pass this question? My solution works in IDE fine.
Question: Add a conditional statement that tests if the value in the variable a is greater than the value in variable b. If it is, pop up an alert with the message 'a is greater than b'; also add an else clause that pops up the message 'a is not greater than b'.
var a = 10;
var b = 20;
var c = 30;
if ( a > b ) {
alert("a is greater then b");
} else {
alert("a is NOT greater then b");
}

Treehouse TeacherHi there! Your logic and syntax are spot on! These challenges are looking for exact matches in the strings they're getting back. In both cases, you've misspelled the word "than" as "then". Note the "a" instead of the "e". When I correct the spelling, your code passes with flying colors!
Hope this helps!
