Bummer: Hmmmm...what if in your getRemainingCharacterCount method you tried to use the MAX_CHARS constant minus the length of the text?
public class Tweet {
private String text;
public Tweet(String text) {
this.text = text;
}
public String getText() {
return text;
}
public void setText(String text) {
this.text = text;
}
public static final int MAX_CHARS = 140;
private String mText;
private String charsRemaining;
public int getRemainingCharacterCount() {
return MAX_CHARS - mText.length();
}
}

231,248 PointsThe instructions say "Base your calculation on the field that stores the current text." That variable is already defined on line 2, and named text. Just use that instead of creating another new variable.
