What am I doing wrong , tried multiple ways but nothing

doubler.py 
class Double(int):


    def __new__( cls,*args, **kwargs):
        self = int.__new__(*args, *kwargs)
        self *= 2


        return super().__new__(cls, *args, **kwargs)

You are so close!!! Remember to call the superclass with super and pass the 'cls' argument as well.

I like the convention of using 'self' so I replace in the example below.

class Double(int):
    def __new__(self, *args, **kwargs):
        return super().__new__(self, *args, **kwargs) * 2
