HTML How to Make a Website Sharing a Website Upload the Website

Hello. How come Nick is using the www folder to upload the site and not public_html folder? Have I been doing it wrong?

I have been instructed (going through Dreamweaver) to target the public_html folder when I want to upload. My sites seem to work just fine when doing this. Is there some technical reason behind this or does it not matter? Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks.

It does not matter. Really the www folder is a shortcut folder to public_html. They're basically the same.
