Having Trouble Opening The App Files

I've tried downloading the zip file from the Teacher's Notes, downloading it from Github and checking it out with the VCS, but I still don't see the 'app' directory in my project view. I only see the Gradle files. The actual 'app' directory is there when I look for it with the Windows Explorer, but Android Studio doesn't seem to recognize it.

Any idea why this is happening?

PS: I've tried switching to the Project, Android and all the other views but the 'app' directory still isn't showing
