13,934 PointsHaving a problem with SharedPreferences and context.MODE_PRIVATE
Hi. So I'm trying to solve Task 2 of 4 for this question and
although
mSharedpreferences = getSharedPreferences(PREFS_FILE, Context.MODE_PRIVATE);
this code looks fine and runs without any problem with Android Studio,
the problem accepts it as a wrong value.
Any idea what went wrong with this?
import android.view.View;
import android.os.Bundle;
import android.content.Context;
import android.widget.EditText;
public class MainActivity extends Activity {
private static final String PREFS_FILE = "com.packagename.preferences";
private static final String KEY_CHECKBOX = "KEY_CHECKBOX";
public CheckBox mCheckBox;
private SharedPreferences mSharedPreferences;
private SharedPreferences.Editor mEditor;
@Override
protected void onCreate(Bundle savedInstanceState) {
super.onCreate(savedInstanceState);
setContentView(R.layout.activity_main);
mCheckBox = (CheckBox) findViewById(R.id.checkBox);
mSharedPreferences = getSharedPreferences(PREFS_FILE, Context.MODE_PRIVATE);
mEditor = mSharedPreferences.edit();
}
}

Your code is correct for Task 2 of the Challenge, except you seem to have 2 extra import statements that weren't asked for and are not needed. Just delete the two you added and the challenge will pass. (Delete these: )
import android.content.Context;
import android.widget.EditText;
Good work. Keep Coding! :)
