237 PointsHas anyone else experienced difficulties with Web Hosting for Students?
Three days ago I purchased hosting and a domain name from them. My credit card was charged immediately, but I received no service. They said to wait up to 48 hours for the DNS to set up the domain. So I did. Nothing. I took all the steps suggested on their help site, but nothing worked. So I filed a ticket with their technical folks. No answer after another 24 hours.
I am not a newbie to purchasing hosting and registering domain names. This is the worst service I have ever received, being ignored. I suggest that students look into Siteground, Bluehost or even GoDaddy.
Treehouse should reconsider being affiliated with this low-quality provider.

237 PointsHi Henry. The company finally turned attention to the tickets I filed on their support system after I brought the problem up here and Kevin pointed out that it is Zac Gordon's company. If I were you I would not wait any longer to file a support ticket. I had never before experienced a situation where it took so long for a domain name to be registered, and I wish in hindsight that I had taken action after a couple of hours.

I'm sorry to hear about your ordeal. I noticed you considered other hosts such as Siteground, Bluehost or GoDaddy, how about HostGator ? Are they reliable?
Thank you!
