for key in student: print(key) should work

for key in student: print(key)

should work for this problem, why is it forcing a method? items clearly isn't appropriate but I'm not sure what else should be required to get the result

You're right, as a shorthand you can iterate directly on the dictionary to get the keys. But the quiz question wants you to plug in the name of the method that will also return just the keys from the dictionary.
