33,990 PointsNowadays these terms can be used interchangeably however if you want to be really nitpicky, fonts and typefaces breakdown into the following:
Font: A collection of characters. This harks back to around the 15th century when printing presses used metal blocks with each individual character printed on them.
Typeface: A collection of fonts. A typeface can also be called a font family. An example of a typeface is Helvetica which has a bunch of different fonts!!
