re.compile(pattern, flags) - method to pre-compile and save a regular expression pattern, and any associated flags, for later use.

Hi Bijay,

Flags is a term that means switches or options or settings that you pass into the function. In the case of re.compile, they are options that specify things like whether this regex should be case-sensitive, or whether $ should refer to the end of a line or the end of the string, etc.
