Unfortunately my Mac does not start the downloaded filezilla file saying the developer is not "verified". Any idea what I could do?

12,088 PointsI haven't seen that tutorial but I would recommend the following: Check that the download link is legitimate: https://filezilla-project.org/download.php?type=client From System Settings, select Security & Privacy. On the General tab, click the lock at the bottom of the window and provide your credentials. Change the "Allow apps downloaded from" setting to "Mac App store and identified developers" and then install Filezilla client. If you receive the same message, you can change that setting to "Anyone" but I would be cautious because Mozilla/Filezilla shouldn't be a problem. I can't stress enough that it would behoove you to set that setting back to, at a minimum, "Mac App store and identified developers" when you're done.
