filezilla

I followed the steps to download filezila and i have type in my host , username and password and i get error to connect to server and i have file manager to created a new file and i get the same problem . Question , Do i need a FTP coding from wordpress.org? or i have go my cpanel get the code?

I have worked with some hosts that require you to connect to the domain (example.com), some require you to connect to the IP address (194.66.82.11), and others where you can connect using either. Often hosts will also provide a small configuration file for Filezilla and Cyberduck that you can run and it will fill in all of those credentials for you. If you continue having trouble connecting to your host, I would contact them and see if they can help.
