I am not sure where I am going wrong with the feedback method.
class Student:
name = "Your Name"
def praise(self):
return "You inspire me, {}".format(self.name)
def reassurance(self):
return "Chin up, {}. You'll get it next time!".format(self.name)
def feedback(grade):
if grade>50:
return praise(self)
else:
return reassurance(self)

231,269 PointsA few hints:
- every instance method takes "self" as a first argument (plus any others it needs).
- when calling a method in the same class, preface the name with "self."
- you don't normally pass "self" explicitly as an argument (the class handles that)

Courses Plus Student 15,069 PointsThank you! I don't exactly understand why self has to be used like in self.praise, but I am seeing that I have to.

231,269 PointsI believe it's necessary to reference the instance to call the instance method on it. Apparently Python doesn't have an implied context inside the class as some other languages do.
